**special note: daughter is not having oral surgery today....thank you so much for praying for my family!**
Happy Friday!
Just a quick post today for a card I made for 2 challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers; the Tuesday color (Always Artichoke, Real Red, Chocolate Chip) and the Wednesday Sketch Challenge.
To me, this card looks 'unfinished'. I tried several different embellishments to add to it, and none of them looked right, so I just finished it up and took the pics! It's still bothering me, but oh well....it's done! [I have no idea why my chocolate cardstock looks black here!]
Recipe:
Stamp: SU!~ Sidekick Sayings
Cardstock: SU!~ Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and red from my stash
DP: SU!~ Autumn Traditions
other: SU!~ Chocolate Chip ribbon & Scallop-edge Punch, Prisma, chalking, CB dot-embossing, glitter pen by Sakura
I hope you have a fantastic weekend, thanks for stopping by : )

I made myself sit down for a bit yesterday and let the creative juices flow...it's therapy for me! **special note: thanks to all of you for your kind and thoughtful comments yesterday, I truly appreciate it**
This is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge over at Priscillastyles this week. Be sure to head over to the blog and see all of the goodies they're giving away and the blog-hop they'll be doing very soon.
The color combo I used here (Dusty Durango and Handsome Hunter) was inspired by that ribbon. I went digging around in one of my old craft boxes and found this rust-colored ribbon and thought hey, I could use this for a Christmas card...it's gingham!
I wasn't sure I'd be able to pull off these non-traditional colors, but I'm pleased how it finally turned out : )
Recipe:
Stamp: SU!~ Flaky Friends
Cardstock: SU!~ Dusty Durango, Handsome Hunter, Whisper White
other: ribbon, CB swirl embossing with gold ink rubbed over it, pearls by K&Co., chalking, Prisma pencils, SU! Photo-Corner Punch
As always, thanks for stopping by and commenting, it makes my day!

Happy Wednesday, thanks for stopping by today : )
Since it's Wednesday, that means it's time for Penny's Challenges...and today is a color challenge using sunflower, moonstruck and brown bag. I didn't have those exact colors, so I used SU! So Saffron, Brocade Blue and Close to Cocoa.
We at Penny's Challenges hope you'll play along with us this week...we'd love to see your creations! **make sure you check out what my fabulous co-DT members designed as well!
It's for my brother's birthday in a couple weeks. Oh, and see that brown twill? It's from my new hoodie....I didn't like it on the jacket, so after I removed it hubby told me I should use it in my scrapbooking, what a genius!
Recipe:
Stamps: SU!~ Happy Everything
Cardstock: So Saffron, Brocade Blue, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White
Ink: SU!~ Chocolate Chip
other: brown twill, brads, chalking, CB dot-embossing

Do you ever have a 'dark-day'? I do, once a year on this day....My Dad passed away 11 years ago today...suddenly and unexpectantly. He was only 53.So every year, on this day, I spend the day reflecting on our lives together...our time together...which was cut short. I can still replay that phone call from my sister (she created this digipage) as though it were yesterday. If you've not seen my digi-slideshow I created for his birthday back in September...click here to watch and listen.I apologize for not blog-hopping today and hope you'll understand....thanks

Quick non-stamping post today....
Things around here have been super stressful and hectic, and am asking all of you...my bloggy-creative friends to pray for my family.
Daughter has to have yet another surgery this week on another tooth (she just had her wisdom teeth surgically removed a month ago).
And now my son and his wife have decided to split up. She is leaving today to go back to her family in California . It is a consensual break up and not surprising...but still...I feel like things are falling apart around me and appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we all go through this.
Thanks so much for stopping by....

Hey there, I hope you had a great weekend : )
Today's creation was quick and simple...it's for the sketch challenge over at The Sweet Stop. If you have a moment, you should head on over there and check out the amazing creations by the Sugar Babies using this sketch, they're awesome!
I know it's hard to see, but I used my Fun Flock (what fun!) again on the stocking, and glitter on that snowflake. I really need a new camera so the details would really show!
Recipe:
Image: TAC, Sentiment: Martha Stewart
Cardstock: SU!~ Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Old Olive and black from my stash
other: CB dot-embossing, chalking, markers, Fun Flock, faux gem, and the snowflake punch from Martha Stewart
Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you have a stampendous week!

**second post today, please see below for Scrapbook Sunday!**
Amazingly, I was able to complete 3 cards for the same 3 different challenges!
Pals Paper Arts challenge last week was to create something with Christmas Cheer. If you have the time, you've got to enter this challenge, as they're giving away SU! Christmas Greetings Stamp Set and a package of clear-round Rhinestone Brads...cool!
The 2nd challenge is from the CAS (clean and simple) challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers to use White plus 1 other color (including embellies) and wow was that tough for me to not use another color!
The sketch itself is from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge over at The Sweetest Thing. I loved this sketch, and as you can see below in the photo, I made 2 more! (the brown one is my fave!)

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Happy Scrapbook Sunday! I hope you're enjoying your weekend!Another quick and easy layout! I cased this layout from one of my scrapbook magazines, and I'm sorry...not sure which one...oops!The 3 photos from the left are of my daughter and nieces and nephew, and the one on the far right is daughter and daughter-in-law.Even though I enjoy 'junking-up' my pages full of embellishments with no corner left blank, I really do like this layout!I used cardstock, designer paper from The Paper Studio, chipboard letters, Bazzill flowers, scallop-edge punch, brad, chalking, and that stamp is from the SU Sweet Serendipity set.I hope you have some time today to create a quick layout as well! Thanks for stopping by! : )
